WARDOGS Maps & Control Zones

WARDOGS maps are large militaristic sandboxes with a twist: the actual fight takes place in a randomized 2x2 km Control Zone that changes location every match. This guide explains how to read the battlefield fast.
How zones randomize
Each match drops the Control Zone somewhere within the larger map. The zone's position dictates the match: urban zones favour building clearing and CQB, open zones favour vehicles and long optics.
Variables in zone location plus individual tactics mean no match ever plays out the same - the developers built rotation as a core replayability pillar.
Destruction changes the map
The battlefield is fully destructible. Rocket fire levels apartment blocks, tanks carve new lanes through towns, and players erect forward operating bases on strategic chokepoints.
By late match, the map barely resembles its start: sightlines you scouted ten minutes ago may be rubble. Keep re-reading cover as the fight evolves.
Session length and pacing
Because scoring runs to 100 points at roughly a point per 30 seconds of majority presence, a one-sided zone can end a match quickly while a contested one stretches on - players report matches varying widely with how the Hot Zone rotates.
Plan your loadout spending for the long game: a match that goes the distance rewards players who banked cash for late vehicle pushes.
FAQ
How big are WARDOGS maps?
Matches fight over randomized 2x2 km Control Zones set within larger maps.
Do maps change between matches?
Yes - the Control Zone location randomizes every match, changing which terrain matters.
How long is a match?
It varies with zone control: a point every 30 seconds of majority presence means dominant teams finish fast, contested matches run long.
Can you destroy buildings?
Yes - destruction is fully dynamic, and players can also build fortifications on chokepoints.
